eMule Plus ist ein Mod des bekannten Filesharingclient eMule, der auf das eDonkey 2000 Netzwerk zugreift, in dem vor allem Videos und komplette Musik-Alben getauscht werden. Der Mod steht nun in der Version 1.2a zum Download bereit.

eMule Plus bietet für eingefleischte Profis eine Unmenge an Einstellmöglichkeiten, zudem ist die Oberfläche klar und übersichtlich strukturiert. Manchem Puristen wird sie etwas verspielt vorkommen. Der Client ist Open Source und enthält keine Spy- oder Adware.

eMule ist ein auf dem Netzwerk von eDonkey 2000 basierender Filesharingclient. In diesem Netzwerk werden vorrangig neueste Blockbuster, Kinofilme und Videos in DVD-Qualität sowie komplette Musik-Alben ausgetauscht. Die Software bietet für eingefleischte Profis eine Unmenge an Einstellungsmöglichkeiten, zudem ist die Oberfläche klar und übersichtlich strukturiert.

Mit dem Filesharingclient eMule werden (wie mit eMule und auch Overnet) vor allem Videos und komplette Musik-Alben ausgetauscht, aber auch alle anderen Arten von Dateien wie Spiele, einzelne MP3s und Bilder. Die Software unterstützt Swarming, je nach Verfügbarkeit wird ein und dieselbe Datei (Dateiteile) von mehreren Usern parallel heruntergeladen.

Dadurch erhöht sich zum einen die Download-Geschwindigkeit (bei Breitbandverbindungen wie DSL oder LAN), zum anderen entstehen keine Wartezeiten, damit der Download beendet wird, sollte der hochladende PC offline gehen - eMule greift einfach auf die anderen Quellen zu (sofern verfügbar), dabei ist die Downloadgeschwindigkeit abhängig von eurer Uploadgeschwindigkeit.

eMule benötigt zur Herstellung von Downloadverbindungen mit Servern eine Liste mit Servern. Aktuelle Serverlisten lassen sich auf vielen Seiten für eMule, eDonkey 2000 und eMule Plus downloaden. Ihr müsst lediglich die Datei Server.met downloaden und in das neue eMule Plus Verzeichnis kopieren.
