Für Portal wurde die Erweiterung Portal: Prelude 1.0.0 veröffentlicht. Obwohl es sich um keine offizielle Erweiterung handelt, wurde das 775 MB große Erweiterungspaket professionell umgesetzt und verfügt neben toller Grafik über ein spannendes Gameplay.

Die Story von Portal: Prelude ist in der pre-GlaDOS Epoche angesiedelt.
