BitComet 0.84 ist P2P-Client für das Filesharingnetz BitTorrent. Neben einigen kleineren Bugfixes und Verbesserungen an der grafischen Oberfläche wurden in BitComet 0.84 einige Anpassungen am Core vorgenommen, die eine hohe Prozessorlast vermeiden sollen. Daneben ist ein Bug behoben worden, der BitComet nicht auf Win98/ME Systemen laufen ließ. NAT Port Mapping und die Interaktion mit der Windows Firewall wurden in ein externes Programm verlegt um den Ressourcenverbrauch niedrig zu halten.
