BitComet 0.81 ist P2P-Client für das Filesharingnetz BitTorrent. Neben einigen kleineren Bugfixes und Verbesserungen an der grafischen Oberfläche wurden in BitComet 0.81 einige Anpassungen am Core vorgenommen, die eine hohe Prozessorlast vermeiden sollen. Daneben ist ein Bug, der für unvollständige Downloads verantwortlich war, in der neuen BitComet Version entfernt worden. Seit der Version 0.81 ist BitComet nun auch kompatibel zu Windows Vista.
